Let's say you have a factory that produces for example… glass bottles.
It’s mass production and your product doesn’t need to be designed.
But you want to work on your productivity - to have more output with the same amount of workers.
No one knows your production facilities as good as you do and you know perfectly where the bottlenecks in the production process are. You are thinking about some kind of machine that could solve that particular bottle neck. You have a well equipped technical department and good maintenance engineers. They are good in repairing things, adjusting , setting and building things. If you would ask them to build some sort of machine they would probably put something together that has to function as a prototype. After that they would modify it, build and rebuild things until they finally work. Some parts of the machine would be ok from the beginning, others would need to be rebuilt completely. You might have already spent big amounts on motors, gear belts, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, but they can't be used any more.
With the help of CADSHERPA you go for a different approach! We build you a complete digital prototype which can move and behave as in the real world. You talk this digital prototype over with your production team, your technical people and definitely with your accountant, because with a digital prototype you know exactly what it's going to cost you to produce it. All digital parts are there, ready to be produced. Parts that have to be made on CNC machines use the digital part to program themselves ( CAM ). This means less programming work and better prices from your metalwork contractor. But that is not all
